Hi, I’m Ella, the creator behind The Potted Garden. I’ve always been drawn to spaces that feel thoughtful, lived in, and connected to the outdoors. What started as a love for plants has grown into something much more, shaping both my work and the way I move through everyday life.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls in 2025 with two bachelor's degrees in horticulture (with a focus on landscape design) and marketing communications. That blend of creativity and technical knowledge continues to influence how I see and experience the world around me.

Outside of my work, I’m usually reading, cooking, traveling, or spending time outdoors. I find a lot of inspiration in simple, everyday moments, seasonal changes, textures in nature, and the way different spaces come together. I’m drawn to things that feel natural, intentional, and a little bit understated.

Based in the Chicagoland area, I’m constantly inspired by the changing Midwest seasons and how they shape the landscape throughout the year.

The Potted Garden is an extension of that perspective. It reflects not just what I create but also what I value: spaces that feel personal, effortless, and connected to their surroundings.
